Author Guidelines

GUIDELINE OF AUTHORS

INDONESIAN JOURNAL OF APPLIED PHYSICS (IJAP)

Please read the IJAP guidelines and follow these instructions carefully. Manuscripts not adhering to the instructions will be returned for revision without review. The Chief Editor reserves the right to return manuscripts that are not prepared in accordance with these guidelines.


  •  Scientific journal of IJAP publishes biannually in April and October.
  • Original manuscripts considering all aspects of pure and applied physics are welcome, see here for detail.
  • Manuscript should contain previously unpublished work not concurrently considered for publication elsewhere. All papers will be independently refereed.
  • Manuscript should be written in  English.
  • Manuscript should consist of ;
Title: The title should briefly and clearly describe content. Please write the name and affiliation of each author, and e-mail address of the corresponding author’s name under the title.
Author(s) name(s) and affiliation(s):
A manuscript has the main author and co-authors with a full name of the author and co-authors (no abbreviation), includes an address (es) and email addresses clearly. Each address should be preceded by a numerical superscript corresponding to the same superscript after the name of the author concerned. Give an asterisk (*) in the contact person for correspondence.
Abstract: The abstract should be written in English. Length of the abstract should be 250 words or less. It should briefly state the purpose, method and result of the paper.  Keywords are the labels of your manuscript and critical to correct indexing and searching. Keywords should not more than 5 words or phrases in alphabetical
Introduction: The introduction should contain research backgrounds, problem statement, references, and expected outcome.
Method:The method should succinctly describe what was actually done in accordance with the problem statement. This section should have the meaning of the state of the art of science and technology, the sophistication of viewpoints and approaches, the potential acquisition of novelties, new to science, and completeness of work, not only repeating previous research of the same type, not mutating methods and objects.

The methods section should include:
a. Specify the time and place of study in the first section

b. The aim, design, and setting of the study
c. The characteristics of participants or description of material
d. A clear description of all processes and methodologies employed. Generic names should generally be used. When proprietary brands are used in research, include the brand names in parentheses
e. The type of statistical analysis used, including a power calculation if appropriate
f. Studies involving human participants, data or tissue or animals must include statement of ethics approval and consent.
Review papers should be critical analysis and integration of recent advances in an important area of research in agriculture sciences which can stimulate further research, provide a new approach or new knowledge. Review papers should be high quality and written by recognized experts.

Results and discussion: The results and discussion should contain figures, tables, and graphs that are accompanied by description about the interpretation, the generalization, and the implication of obtained results, and also its relevance to the other results in the references. The discussion should explore the significance of the results of the work. Please highlight differences between your results or findings and the previous publications by other researchers.
Conclusion: Conclusions should only answer the objectives of the research. The conclusion should be explained clearly. Withdrawal of conclusions based on new findings, which are stated accurately and deeply. New findings can be in the form of theories, postulates, formulas, rules, methods, models, and prototypes. Conclusions must be supported by sufficient research data. Suggestion placed after conclusion contains a recommendation on the research done or an input that can be used directly by the consumer. Conclusions and suggestions should be written less than 100 words and should be written in a paragraph.
Acknowledgement (if any): Recognize those who helped in the research, especially funding supporter of your research. Name the person to help you work.
Reference: Reference using a reference management application (such as Mendeley, Endnote, Zotero, and others) with the American Psychological Association (APA) system. Only the related references in the text are listed in the bibliography. Minimum of 10 references provided that 80% are from primary sources and from the last 10 years. References must use a reference management tool such as Mendeley/Zotero/Endnote, style APA 6th edition (General Guidelines)

  • The editorial board reserves the right to reject or resend the manuscript to the author for revision based on the reviewer`s recommendations.
  • The authors certify the manuscript has not published elsewhere and has not been submitted simultaneously for publication elsewhere. The authors also certify that the manuscript does not contain materials which would violate any copyright of other personal or proprietary right or financial interest or conflict of any person or entity.
  • Indonesian Journal of Applied Physics is an open access journal.

  • After Acceptance, A Copyeditor will be assigned to work in the copyediting stage that intended to improve the flow, clarity, grammar, wording, and formatting of the article. Then, a Layout Editor will be assigned to prepare the galley PDF for online publication. To ensure a fast publication process of the article, we kindly ask authors to provide us with their proofreading corrections within three days. Proofs must be corrected without delay and returned to the Editor. Corresponding authors will receive an e-mail with a link to our online proofing system [Proofreading Request by Author], allowing annotation and correction of proofs online.
  •  Submission Declaration and Verification, Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis or as an electronic preprint), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors approve that the manuscript will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or in any other language, including electronically without the written consent of the copyright holder. Authors are required to submit the "Author Declaration" as supplementary material at the time of the initial manuscript submission. No manuscript will undergo the publication process without this agreement

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
