Pengaruh Diversitas Dewan Komisaris dan Dewan Direksi Terhadap Kinerja Perusahaan

Abstract


The aim of this research is to find out the effect of board of commisioners and board of directors diversity in Firm Performance. ROA and PBV are applied to measure the Firm Performance, then the board diversity is measured by the proportion of woman on board, proportion of young member on board, proportion board with economic (management, business, finance) educational background, and board’s tenure. The samplings used in this research were collected from 150 listed companies at Indonesian Stock Exchange over 2013 period selected from certain criteria. This research uses multiple liniar regression method. The results of the research show that the proportion of woman on board,  proportion of young member on board, and board’s tenure do not influence significantly to Firm Performance. However, the proportion of board of Comissioner with economic (management, business, finance) educational background have a significant positive effect in firm perfomance. Surprisingly, the proportion of board of Comissioner with economic (management, business, finance) educational background have a singnificant negative effect in firm perfomance.
