Abstract

Dryland is one of the most potential ecosystem for cultivated land. Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L.) is perennial plant that originated from Peru, and spread at tropic area like China and Thailand. Arthropods that come at plants can be role as pest, natural enemy, and so on. This research purposed to know diversity of Arthropods and its role in Sacha Inchi so that the potency of Arthropods on the plant can be understood. This research was started on June 2015-December 2015 in Mojosongo, Kebak, Jumantono, Karanganyar, Central Java and Plant Pests and Diseases Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sebelas Maret University Surakarta that implemented using absolute methods. Data analyzed by calculate the diversity and the abundanceof Arthropods. The result showed that Arthropods that arrived amount 75 families consist of 13 orders that were Araneae, Ephemeroptera, Odonata, Orthoptera, Blattaria, Isoptera, Hemiptera, Homoptera, Thysanoptera, Coleoptera, Diptera, Lepidoptera, and Hymenoptera. Based on the role of Arthropods that found outwere 8% pest, 10% natural enemy (predators and parasitoids), and 82% the other role (decomposers and pollinators). Family diversity of the Arthropods was low category with diversity index of Shannon-Weaver value was 0,692 and Pielou evenness index was 0,164 showed that Arthropods’ evenness was low.
