Meta-emotion philosophy pada Guru PAUD : Strategi dan Keyakinan terkait Sosialisasi Emosi

Abstract


Anak usia dini membutuhkan peran orang dewasa terdekatnya untuk membantu mereka mengembangkan kemampuan emosionalnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan sosialisasi emosi yang dilakukan oleh guru melalui meta-emotion philosophy, yaitu : 1. menggambarkan gaya sosialisasi emosi pada guru PAUD (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini), 2. melihat pengaruh belief (dalam hal pengaturan, kesadaran, penerimaan emosi pribadi guru dan emosi anak didik) terhadap gaya sosialisasi emosi.  Partisipan meliputi 175 guru (Mage = 40 tahun), yang berasal dari 28 Taman Kanak-Kanak di Kota Padang. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Crèche Educator Emotional Styles Questionnaire. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menggunakan kedua gaya sosialisasi emosi, namun penggunaan gaya dismissing lebih dominan dibandingkan dengan coaching. Selanjutnya, keyakinan guru dalam mengendalikan emosi (baik emosi siswa maupun emosi pribadi), ditemukan secara bersama-sama dapat  memengaruhi gaya sosialisasi emosi. Keyakinan guru sebagai agen sosialisasi emosi memiliki pengaruh yang lebih besar dibandingkan keyakinan akan emosi pribadi. Sedangkan, denial (penolakan) terhadap emosi pribadi ditemukan tidak berpengaruh pada gaya sosialisasi. Selain itu, tidak ditemukan perbedaan gaya sosialisasi emosi guru berdasarkan faktor memiliki anak, lama mengajar, dan kesesuaian latar belakang pendidikan.
