Pemanfaatan Media Biografi Tokoh-Tokoh Nasional Untuk Meningkatkan Sikap Bela Negara dan Prestasi Belajar Sejarah Siswa Kelas XII IPS SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak Boyolali Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the student’s attitude of defending the country and the learning achievement in historical learning of class XII IPS 2 SMA N 1 Ngemplak Boyolali Academic Year 2015/2016 by applying the biography of national figures in historical lesson.

This research is a classroom action research (CAR). The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, acting, observation and reflection. The subjects were students, teachers and the learning process in class XII IPS 2 SMA N 1 Ngemplak Boyolali. Data and data sources come from students, teachers and the learning process. Techniques of data collection is by interview , observation, questionnaires and tests. The validity techniques of the data is using triangulation techniques and data sources triangulation method. Data analysis using comparative descriptive technique and qualitative data analysis. Research procedures are spiral model (Planning , Acting, Observing and Reflecting).

The results showed that: ( 1 ) the use of biography of national figures as instructional media can increase students' attitude of defending the country in class XII IPS 2 SMA N 1 Ngemplak Boyolali Academic Year 2015/2016. It can be seen from the results the percentage of achievement indicators in the questionnaire attitude of defending the country. In the first cycle the average achievement is 71.79 % and the second cycle increased up to 82.16 % this acquisition has exceeded the target of 80 % is applied; ( 2 ) the use of biography of national figures as instructional media can improve students' learning achievement in historical lesson. It can be seen from the result of cognitive test scores, the students who completed the first cycle as much as 64.52 % and the second cycle into 83.87 %, this result has exceeded the target of 80 % is applied Based on the results of research and discussion , it can be drawn the conclusion that the use of biography of national figure as learning media can improve students atitude of defending the country and learning achievement in historical lesson of class XII IPS 2 SMA N 1 Ngemplak Boyolali.
