Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Dalam Pembelajaran Melalui Media Audio Visual Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar dan Minat Belajar Sejarah Siswa Kelas X IPS 1 di SMA Negeri 1 Teras Boyolali Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017

Abstract

The purposes of this research are: (1) How to apply the type of cooperative learning model of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) through audio visual media in X IIS 1 SMA Negeri 1 TerasBoyolali to improve learning interest of the student; (2) How to apply the type of cooperative learning model named Numbered Heads Together (NHT) through audio visual media in X IIS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Teras Boyolali to improve the student’s learning result.

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The study was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of action planning, action execution, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were students of class X IIS 1 SMA Negeri 1Teras Boyolali which amounted to 36 people. Sources of data come from teachers, students and learning process. Data collection techniques are conducted by means of tests, observations, interviews, documentation, document analysis and questionnaires. This research uses triangulation technique that is triangulation of data or source and triangulation method.

The result of this research shows that: (1) The Application of cooperative learning model of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) through audio visual media can improve learning interest of the student of X IIS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Teras Boyolali 2016/2017. The result can be seen from the student’s questionnaire. Pre-action phase shows only 61.10%. The first cycle phase there is an improvement of 69.4% and the second cycle there is an improvement of 80%; (2) The Application of cooperative learning model of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) through audio visual media can improve learning result of the Historic class student. This result based on the performance of the student’s cognitive test. Pre-action phase shows the learning attainment of the student only reach 72.22%. There is improvement on the first cycle at the amount of 77.78%, then the second cycle has an improvement at the amount of 91.67%. The achievement has exceeded the set target at 80%.

Based on the result of this research and discussion, it shows that the cooperative learning model of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) through audio visual media can improve the X IIS 1 Historic class student’s learning interest and learning result on SMA Negeri 1 Teras Boyolali 2016/2017.
