PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH PADA SEKOLAH FULL DAY SCHOOL: (STUDI KASUS DI SMA N 1 KARANGDOWO KABUPATEN KLATEN)

Abstract

The purpose of this study was : 1) to describe the Full Day School learning system in SMA N 1 Karangdowo Klaten; 2) to describe the historical curriculum in Full Day School learning; 3) to describe the implementation of historical learning in a Full Day School system.

            This study used a qualitative method with an embedded case study strategy. Data sources used in this study through informants, documents, and places, events or activities. Data collection techniques use observation, interview, and data analysis techniques. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling technique. The purposive sampling technique considers the subject to be studied to have knowledge of what the researcher expects, so that it will make it easier to examine the object to be studied. The data analysis technique used is the interactive model technique, by doing data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.

The conclusions in this study are: 1) The Full Day School learning system in SMA N 1 Karangdowo consists of intracurricular, kokurikuler, and extracurricular activities. These activities aim to develop the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains of students. 2) The curriculum used in historical history learning in a Full Day School system in SMA N 1 Karangdowo is Curriculum 2013 in class X and XI and KTSP in class XII. Historical learning is done by using contextual learning strategies. So the learning process will bring together concepts between learning material and the real world in developing the character of students. 3) The implementation of historical learning in SMA N 1 Karangdowo consists of three activities, namely preliminary activities, activities, core, and closing. In the process of implementing historical learning in a Full Day School system there are two obstacles faced, namely the learning process that is too time consuming and the teacher's preparation in teaching.
