PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THINK PAIR SHARE DENGAN MULTIMEDIA INTERAKTIF UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KERJA SAMA DAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to increase collaboration and critical thinking skill in historical learning for X MIPA 5 student in SMAN 4 Surakarta through application of cooperative learning type think pair share with interactive multimedia.

This research is a Classroom Action Research. The research is conducted in two cycle wich each cycle consists of planning, realization, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research is class X MIPA 5 SMAN 4 Surakarta that consist of 32 students. The data collection techniques are conducted by using observation, questionnaires, tests, interviews, and documentation. The data validity was tested by using triangulation techniques which are data triangulation and method triangulation. The research done with comparative descriptive and interactive analysis method.

The results of this research shows that; 1) The application of cooperative learning type think pair share with interactive multimedia can increase collaboration skill skill in historical learning for X MIPA 5 student in SMAN 4 Surakarta. This is shown by the increasing percentage of the number of students who have collaboration skill with a high category which is 56,35% on pre-cycle, increased to 71,88% in cycle I, and 84,38% on cycle II. In addition, the average achievement of collaboration skill indicator also experienced an increase of 65,45% in pre-cycle, 75,55% in cycle I, and 83,03% in cycle II. 2) The application of cooperative learning type think pair share with interactive multimedia can increase critical thinking skill in historical learning for X MIPA 5 student in SMAN 4 Surakarta. This is shown by the increasing percentage of the number of students who have critical thinking skill with a high category which is 31,25% in pre-cycle, increased to 62,50% in cycle I,and 81,25% in cycle II. The average achievement of the indicator of critical thinking also increased by 63,88% in pre-cycle 78.13% in cycle I, and 84.63% in cycle II. The achievement indicator of critical thinking ability has exceeded the targeted that is 80%.

Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that application of cooperative learning type think pair share with interactive multimedia can increase collaboration skill and critical thinking skill in historical learning for X MIPA 5 student in SMAN 4 Surakarta academic year 2018/2019.
