Implementasi Pengembangan Keprofesian Berkelanjutan bagi Guru Ekonomi SMA di Kota Surakarta

Abstract

The world is changing rapidly hence we experience advancement of technology and science development. Therefore, teachers can not stay idle with this change. Teachers are demanded to continuously learning to adapt with the changing aspects so they are able to administer a classroom activity that relevant to current knowledge. This research aims to: 1) describe the implementation of continuous professional development of high school economic teachers in Surakarta, 2) to find the influencing factors of theachers participation in continuous professional developments activity; 3) to find the barriers in the implementation of continuous professional development;4) and to find the effort that teachers has been done to overcome the barriers they encountered while implementing continuous professional development. The method used in this research is qualitative where the data collected from the interview of ten teachers and the head of economic MGMP in kota Surakarta. From the analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of continuous professional development consists of four phases i.e planning, execution, evaluation and reflection. Unfortunately, the continuity aspect of teacher’s professional development has not been achieved
