SOSIALISASI DESA MANDIRI SAMPAH 2029 UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH RUMAH TANGGA DI DESA TINGAL

Abstract

The issue of household waste management remains a challenge in many rural areas, including Tingal Village, Blitar Regency. Low public awareness of sorting and managing waste at source has the potential to cause environmental and health impacts. This activity aims to increase public understanding and participation in household waste management in order to support the realization of the 2029 Independent Waste Village. The methods used were participatory socialization through presentations by speakers from the Blitar Regency Environment Agency, interactive discussions, question and answer sessions, and educational quizzes. The material presented included waste sorting, waste reduction at source, community-based waste management, and strengthening the concept of waste banks as an environmentally friendly and economically valuable solution. The results of the activity showed an increase in community enthusiasm and understanding of the importance of structured and sustainable waste management. This program had a positive impact in the form of growing collective awareness and initial commitment from the community to develop a village-based waste management system. It is recommended that this activity be continued through assistance and strengthening the implementation of sustainable waste banks.
