HUBUNGAN ANTARA KARAKTERISTIK SOSIAL EKONOMI DENGAN TINGKAT MOTIVASI PETANI DALAM ALIH FUNGSI LAHAN SAWAH MENJADI KOLAM IKAN DI KECAMATAN POLANHARJO KABUPATEN KLATEN

Abstract

This research have a purpose to examing the condition of economy social charateristic of farmers with the motivation levels in land conversion into fishponds in Subdistrict of Polanharjo Klaten Regency. The basic method of this research used quantitative methods with sensus technique. The location of this research’s in Polanharjo because this region is the only one that there are wetlands which being fishponds in Klaten. The data was gotten by using questionnaire to 32 respondents passed observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis that’s used Rank Spearman. The result showed that Economy Social Charateristic of Farmers which have influence of land conversion into fishponds: the age in high category, formal education in high category, the wide of land in high category, the income in high category, social environment in very support category, economy environment in support category and the source of information in support category. The farmers have high motivation in land conversion into fishponds to fill up the economy requirement, psychology requirement and very high to fill up the sociology requirement. There is a significant correlation between the economy environment and source of information at the 99% trust levels and the social environment at the 95% trust levels. There are no significant correlation between age, formal education, the wide of land, and income with the motivation levels of farmers in land conversion into fishponds in Subdistrict of Polanharjo Klaten Rengecy.
