ANALISIS EKONOMI DAN STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN USAHATANI KENTANG DI KECAMATAN GETASAN

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The study aims to determine the cost, revenue, profitability, and eligibility of farming, identify internal factors and external factors, and formulating potato farming alternative development strategies in Getasan Subdistrict. The basic method is descriptive analytical method. The research location was determined with purposive and sampling using the Proporsional Random Sampling method. Analysis of data used are: (1) Profit, Efficiency, and Farm Eligibility Analysis: (2) IE Analysis: (3) SWOT Analysis: (4) QSPM Analysis. The results showed the average cost of a potato farming IDR 9,395,900,-  revenue IDR 16,588,600,- profit IDR 7,192,700,- per farm (0.134 Ha). The R / C ratio is 1.77 and B/C ratio is 0.77. Internal factors which become the main strength: profitable potato farming and viable, and the main weakness: the need for large initial farming costs. External factors that become the main opportunities: the price of potatoes at the farm level is good, the main threat: the potato crop is very dependent on the weather. Alternative development strategies of potato farming in Getasan Subdistrict are SO, WO, ST , and WT strategy. Priority strategies that can be applied  is to maintain and increase the quantity of potato production to meet market demand.
