PENERAPAN METODE PEMBERIAN TUGAS DAN RESITASI DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS SURAT SISWA KELAS X D ADMINISTRASI PERKANTORAN SMK WIKARYA KARANGANYAR TAHUN AJARAN 2014/2015

Abstract

The objective of this research is to improve the letter
writing ability of the students in grade X D of Office Administration
Program of Wikarya Vocational High School of Karanganyar through
the use of the task-giving and recitation methods. This research used
the classroom action research with two cycle. Each cycle consisted of
four phases, namely : planning, implementation, observation and
reflection. The subjects of research were 36 students in grade X D of
Office Administration Program of Wikarya Vocational High School of
Karanganyar. The data sources of research were a teacher, students
and documents. The data were collected through in-depth interview,
observation, documentation and test. They were validated by using the
data triangulation and the method triangulation. The data were
analyzed by using the descriptive comparative of analysis and critical
analysis. The procedures of research include planning,
implementation, observation and reflection. The result of research
shows that the application of the assigment administration and
recitation methods can improve the letter writing ability. Their the
letter writing ability improves up to 55,51 %. Prior the treatment
38,89 %, following the treatment it becomes 72,20 % in Cycle I and
94,40 % in Cycle II respectively. The average score is also improves
from 62,81 to 81,75 in Cycle I and 87 in Cycle II respectively. Thus, a
conclusion is drawn that the application of the assignment
administration and recitation methods improves the letter writing
ability of the students in grade X D of Office Administration Program
of Wikarya Vocational High School of Karanganyar.
