Relationship Between Fasting Plasma Glucose and Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients
Abstract
Pendahuluan : Penyakit Hati Berlemak Non-Alkohol (NAFLD) sering diabaikan oleh dokter dan pasien karena manifestasi klinisnya yang tidak spesifik dan kadang-kadang ditemukan secara kebetulan pada pemeriksaan hati. Namun NAFLD dapat mengalami perkembangan patofisiologis yang buruk menjadi Karsinoma Hepatoseluler (HCC). Pengetahuan bahwa prevalensi NAFLD kira-kira dua kali lipat pada Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2 (T2DM). Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan di antara keduanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya hubungan antara Fasting Plasma Glucose (FPG) sebagai salah satu parameter laboratorium T2DM dengan kejadian NAFLD pada populasi pasien T2DM.
Metode : Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross-sectional dengan teknik simple random sampling. Sumber datanya adalah data sekunder dari rekam medis pasien. Subjek penelitian adalah pasien DMT2 yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang ditentukan. Subjek dilacak berdasarkan data usia, jenis kelamin, USG, dan FPG. Analisis deskriptif data demografi akan ditampilkan dengan rentang, mean ± standar deviasi, dan proporsi. Sedangkan analisis hubungan menggunakan Chi-Square.
Hasil : Dari total 93 pasien T2DM, 48 diantaranya memiliki hasil NAFLD positif dengan rentang usia 23-86 tahun. Sebanyak 33 pasien NAFLD memiliki FPG yang tidak terkontrol dan 15 sampel memiliki FPG yang terkontrol. Hasil uji korelasi Chi-Square menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara FPG dengan NAFLD.
Kesimpulan : FPG tidak berhubungan dengan kejadian NAFLD pada pasien DMT2.
