MODEL PENGEMBANGAN KAWASAN PENANGKARAN BURUNG MERAK UNTUK MENDUKUNG REVITALISASI KESENIAN REYOG DAN MENUNJANG PEMBANGUNAN PARIWISATA DI KABUPATEN PONOROGO

Abstract

In general, this study is aimed to produce a model of the development of a peacock breeding areas to support the revitalization of the arts Reyog and support tourism development in Ponorogo regency. The study is a multi-year research and will be implemented over two years. Data were collected through several techniques, i.e., field observations, interviews, discussion and referring to the secondary data. The sampling technique was conducted using purposive sampling and snowball methods. Data were analyzed by natural resource analysis and interactive analysis methods.

In the first year, this study resulted in: (1) a description of the empirical condition of areas with the potential to breed peacocks in Ponorogo regency; (2) a description of standards and space requirements for the development and space arrangement of peacocks ex – situ breeding;    (3) identification factors that support the development of a peacock breeding areas to support the Revitalization Art Reyog and support Tourism Development in Ponorogo regency; (4) identification of the factors that hinder the development of a peacock breeding areas to support the Arts Revitalization Reyog and support Tourism Development in Ponorogo regency; (5) a description of the policies and programs of the Government in the peacock breeding area development to support the Arts Revitalization Reyog and support in Ponorogo Tourism Development; and (6) model of regional development to support the breeding of peacocks Arts Revitalization Reyog and Tourism Development support in Ponorogo regency.
