Abstract

As part of the city spatial planning (RTRK), the position of green open space (RTH) is a public open space is planned on an area or environment, which is composed of green open space and non-green open space. Green open space, has a special role and functions in each area that is in every city spatial planning, which is planned in the form of the arrangement of plants, crops and vegetation of plant species conditioning, protectors, cover soil, and the other completing the instrument, in order role in supporting the functions of ecological, social, cultural, and aesthetic/ architectural, so it can provide optimal benefit to the public welfare. Surakarta urban planning of green open space has an important role in giving users the freedom of movement, because activity and growth of the city is becoming more and more developed in accordance with the demands and needs of people who live in it. With the open space, man is faced with the atmosphere different from their everyday activities.
