TINJAUAN KRIMINOLOGI TERHADAP MENINGKATNYA KRIMINALITAS SAAT PANDEMI COVID-19 DI KOTA DEPOK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab meningkatnya kriminalitas di Kota Depok dan mengetahui langkah-langkah yang tepat untuk menekan angka kriminalitas di Kota Depok khususnya tindakan yang dilakukan oleh Kepolisian Metro Jaya Kota Depok saat pandemi covid-19. Penulisan hukum ini menggunakan penelitian hukum dengan jenis metode penelitian empiris. Penulisan hukum ini bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah jenis data primer dan sekunder, jenis data sekunder meliputi bahan hukum primer, sekunder dan tersier. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dengan pihak kepolisian Kota Depok dan studi kepustakaan dari berbagai literatur. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam adalah analisis data deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang meningkatnya kriminalitas saat pandemi covid-19 di Kota Depok adalah faktor ekonomi, faktor lingkungan, faktor kesempatan dan faktor lainnya seperti faktor keluarga dan faktor teknologi. Faktor ekonomi menjadi faktor yang paling dominan karena pelaku kejahatan dalam melakukan aksinya dilatarbelakangi oleh tidak dapat terpenuhinya kebutuhan sehari-hari. Kejahatan yang paling banyak dilakukan selama pandemi covid-19 (peride 2020) di Kota Depok adalah pencurian, perampokan dan penyebaran berita bohong atau hoax. Upaya yang dilakukan oleh Kepolisian Kota Depok dalam menekan angka kriminalitas yang terjadi yaitu dengan melakukan pemetaan daerah yang rawan terjadi kejahatan, Kerjasama dan koordinasi dengan masyarakat, keterlibatan lembaga yang terkait dan sosialisasi masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors causing the increase in crime in Depok City and find out the appropriate steps to reduce the crime rate in Depok City, especially the actions taken by the Depok City Metro Jaya Police during the Covid-19 pandemic. This legal writing uses legal research with the type of empirical research method. This legal writing is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The types of data used are primary and secondary data types, secondary data types include primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials. Data collection techniques used were interviews with the Depok City police and literature studies from various literatures. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive data analysis. The results showed that the factors that increased crime during the covid-19 pandemic in Depok City were economic factors, environmental factors, opportunity factors and other factors such as family factors and technological factors. Economic factors become the most dominant factor because the perpetrators of crime in carrying out their actions are motivated by the inability to fulfill their daily needs. The most common crimes committed during the COVID-19 pandemic (2020 period) in Depok City were theft, robbery and spreading false news or hoaxes. Efforts made by the Depok City Police in reducing the number of crimes that occur are by mapping areas that are prone to crime, cooperation and coordination with the community, involvement of related institutions and community outreach.
