ANALISIS SINTAKSIS: FUNGSI, KATEGORI DAN PERAN PADA KARANGAN SISWA KELAS V SD DAN XI SMA

Abstract

Abstract:  This research is a syntactic study, the purpose of this study is to explain the functions, categories, and roles of syntax in the essays of students in 5th grade elementary and 2nd high school. The study used data from students in 5th grade elementary school and 2nd high school. The method used is the simak method, the advanced technique is the recording technique.  The data analysis method in this study uses the agih method with basic reverse techniques.  Based on a sample of data analyzed, the results showed that the sentence structures in the compositions of 5th grade elementary school students are more diverse than 2nd grade high school students. The syntactic function structure of elementary school 5th grade students includes SPO, SPOK, SPOPelK, KSP, KSPO, KSPOPel, SPO Prep SPO patterns. While the students of 2nd grade high school use a simple structure pattern that includes SPOK, SKPO, SPPel, SPOPel, SPOPelK patterns. The word classes used by students of 5th grade elementary and 2nd high school include classes of noun, pronominal, verbs, amine phrases, verb phrases, adverbs, and adjectives.  Based on the role of sentences, the two levels of education have similarities in interpreting the elements of sentence function. The element of meaning / role in two student essays includes the perpetrator as the meaning of the subject filler; activity as the meaning of the predicate filler; the sufferer as the meaning object filler; the sufferer or way as a complementary filler; and the time, place, way, or cause as a filler.
