REPRESENTASI PEREMPUAN: SEBUAH ANALISIS WACANA KRITIS PADA PENOKOHAN KINAN DALAM SERIAL LAYANGAN PUTUS

Abstract

Abstract:  Women issue is a never-ending topic to discuss. Women in the patriarchal ideology still occur in social phenomena in the midst of the emancipation campaign. The same thing was presented to the character Kinan in the series Layangan Putus which was trending in 25 countries. Through a critical discourse analysis approach, this research analyzed the characterization of Kinan, a strong woman in her character from the perspective of Sara Mills. The analysis was carried out at the climax in episode 6B with the main focus on Kinan and the utterances produced. The results of this study show a message that the patriarchy depicted by a woman who is hurt makes the reader/viewer feel sympathy. However, women need to rise again, become strong women with the intelligence they have to fight for their happiness.
