Kajian Pola Penerimaan Bahasa Pada Anak Penderita Down Syndrome

Abstract

Abstrack: The pattern of language acquisition in children with Down syndrome tends to be not homogeneous where language acceptance through auditory and visual aspects is different for each individual. This study aims to determine the pattern of language acquisition in children with Down syndrome. The pattern of language acquistion in children with Down syndrome will be studied based on literature review. The pattern of language acquisition in children with Down syndrome is generally shown to be slower than normal children. In some cases, children with Down syndrome experience problems in the vocabulary they receive. There are several unique vocabularies that are only understood by certain individuals with Down syndrome. Meanwhile, the pattern of language acquisition in children with Down syndrome through auditory aspects is more common to be found. Children with Down-syndrome are better able to absorb language acquisition through vocabulary that is spoken verbally. The pattern of language acquisition in children with Down-syndrome visually has a major problem in the problem of poor vision. Several cases stated that children with Down-syndrome are unable to describe objects in the picture. To conclude, children with Down syndrome have different language acquisition abilities for each individual. Children with Down syndrome have the concept of understanding vocabulary but are unable to digest whole sentences systematically. One of the results of acquisition the language of children with Down syndrome is unique vocabulary that is only understood by different individuals.

Abstrak: Pola penerimaan pada remaja down-syndrome cenderung tidak homogen dimana penerimaan bahasa melalui aspek auditori dan visual berbeda-beda pada setiap individu. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola penerimaan bahasa pada anak penderita down-syndrome. Pola penerimaan bahasa pada anak penderita down-syndrome ini akan dikaji berdasarkan kajian ilmiah. Pola penerimaan bahasa pada anak penderita down-syndrome secara umum terbukti lebih lambat dibandingkan anak normal. Dalam beberapa kasus, anak penderita down-syndrome mengalami kendala dalam kosakata yang mereka terima. Ada beberapa kosakata unik yang hanya dimengerti oleh individu tertentu dari penderita down-syndrome. Sementara itu, pola penerimaan bahasa pada anak penderita down-syndrome melalui aspek auditori lebih banyak ditemui. Anak penderita down-syndrome lebih mampu menyerap penerimaan bahasa melalui kosakata yang diucapkan secara verbal. Pola penerimaan bahasa pada anak penderita down-syndrome secara visual memiliki kendala utama dalam masalah pengelihatan yang buruk. Beberapa kasus menyebutkan bahwa anak penderita down-syndrome tidak mampu mendeskripsikan objek yang ada dalam gambar. Kesimpulannya, anak penderita down syndrome memiliki kemampuan penerimaan bahasa yang berbeda-beda di setiap individu. Anak penderita down syndrome memiliki konsep untuk mengerti kosakata namun tidak mampu mencerna keseluruhan kalimat secara sistematis. Salah satu hasil dari penerimaan bahasa anak penderita down syndrome adalah kosakata unik yang hanya dimengerti oleh setiap individu berbeda.
