Analisis Tuturan Yang Mengandung Mirativitas Dalam Komik Trilogi Sekuel “Avatar, The Legend Of Aang”

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to identify and describe the types of expressions that contain mirativity in the sequel comic trilogy "Avatar, the Legend of Aang". This research is a descriptive qualitative research to describe the various types of mirativity that appear in the dialogues between characters. The data used in this research were obtained from the dialogues between the characters in the sequel comic trilogy “Avatar, the Legend of Aang” and had gone through a validation process done by three raters through FGD (Focus Group Discussion). The validated data were analysed using domain analysis, taxonomy, componential and cultural themes. The results of this study indicate that in the sequel comic trilogy "Avatar, the Legend of Aang", there are five types mirativity in the dialogues between characters. The five types are surprises, new information, unprepared thoughts, sudden discoveries, and counter expectations.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan jenis tuturan yang mengandung mirativitas dalam komik trilogi sekuel “Avatar, the Legend of Aang”. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif untuk menggambarkan macam-macam tipe mirativitas yang muncul di dalam dialog antar karakter. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini didapatkan dari tuturan antar karakter di dalam komik trilogi sekuel komik “Avatar, the Legend of Aang” dan telah melalui proses validasi oleh tiga rater melalui FGD (Focus Group Discussion). Data yang telah divalidasi kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis domain, taksonomi, komponensial dan tema budaya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa di dalam komik trilogi sekuel “Avatar, the Legend of Aang” terdapat lima tipe tuturan yang mengandung mirativitas pada dialog antar karakter. Kelima tipe tersebut adalah surprise, new information, unprepared mind, sudden discovery, dan counterexpectation.
