Abstract

Abstract: This study focuses on the speech act by Anwar Zaid in the presentation commemorating the Maulid of Nabi Muhammad SAW on December 16, 2019. The purpose of this research is describing the speech act of directive and expressive. This research is a qualitative descriptive study.  The research also uses a pragmatic approach. Data of the study is speech act of containing the directive and expressive. The source of this research data comes from the "Diorama Official" YouTube account.  The data collection is listening and writting technique. Data analysis techniques by transcribe speech into writing media. Then, the data in the form of speech is identified, classified, and described based on research objectives. The results describe the speech act of directive which includes advising, prohibiting, and soliciting, as well as expressive acts of thanksgiving, praise and apology or fogiveness.directive, expresive, pragmatics K.H.
