“You’re the feminist type? Hell yeah, I am!”: Feminisme Posmodern dalam Lagu Pop

Fennia Nur Aini

Abstract

Abstract:  Since the beginning of the feminism movement in early 1900, there are lots of feminists who are using written literature art as a media for running their movements. One of those written literature arts is song, especially the lyric in the songs. The meaning of feminism in the 19th to the 21st century has gone into some major shifting. Not only talking about educational rights and gender equality, postmodern feminism mainly focuses on the feminism movement inside the women’s minds. They are talking about their experience in fighting the haters and patriarchy system, self-love and confidence, women are tough individuals, keep moving on in order to become a better version of their own selves, and women supporting other women. Therefore, this descriptive and qualitative research is aimed to find the meaning of feminism that feminists use in writing their song lyrics.
