TINDAK TUTUR DAN IMPLIKATUR PERCAKAPAN DALAM FILM JAWA “SRI NGILANG” (THE DISAPPEARANCE OF SRI) KARYA GEORGE QUINN PRODUKSI AUSTRALIA NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract

Starting from the pride in the development of the Javanese language and culture in foreign countries, its make the authors want to examine more deeply on Javanese films produced by the Australian National University. The film, entitled Sri Ngilang (The Disappearance of Sri) is one of the works of students from the Australia National University, as the final project in the subject of the Javanese language. The film is directed by George Quinn, which tells about the departure of Sri. The actor and actress who plays in the film is the students of ANU by using the Javanese language. Conflict and storyline that makes this film interesting is inseparable from language aspects are reflected in speech conversation between characters. In this conversation there are implicature arising from the violation of the principles of cooperation. In order to understand the substance of the story, it would require each utterance meaning and implicature contained therein. In this study examines the narrative in the film by applying the theory of speech acts and conversational implicatures, to be able to decipher the type, function and meaning of speech acts and meaning implikaturnya. The discussion of the types of speech acts based on the theory proposed by Yule (2014), a discussion of using the theory of conversational implicatures Grice (1975), as well as other supporters of the theory or scientific journal articles. The data used is Java Sri Ngilang movie. Based on the results of the assessment data can be known that the key essence of pragmatic systematically located on each end of the dialogue.
