PERGESERAN ARGUMEN DAN MORFOLOGI VERBA BAHASA JAWA
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This paper discuss about valencies changing in Javanese syntax. Asumption that agent argument map to subject and patient argument map to object is not rigid. There are syntactical mechanisms to change this mapping. Another argument can map to subject and object by passivisation, causativisation, and applicativisation. All these process are reflected in Javanese verb form. There are some affix that must be attach to the base to indicate these valencies changing. Prefix nasal marks active and preffix di- marks passive, suffix –kan, -i mark causative and applicative. This paper describes valencies changing in passive, causative, and applicative and their marker on verb. We used Basic Linguistic Theory (Dixon, 1994, 2010) to explain these phenomena.
