Perancangan Background Hybrid 2D+3D pada Animasi Kebersihan Kota
Abstract
Permasalahan timbulan sampah nasional di Indonesia yang mencapai 69,9 juta ton (KLHK, 2023) menunjukkan urgensi penyadaran publik melalui media edukatif yang efektif. Penelitian Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini merancang aset background hybrid 2D+3D untuk animasi edukatif "From Another Me & For Another Me" untuk memvisualisasikan krisis lingkungan secara reflektif. Metode yang digunakan adalah Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), di mana tahap perakitan difokuskan pada low-poly modeling dan teknik paint shading di Blender. Pencahayaan lingkungan diatur minimalis menggunakan node-based world shading untuk menciptakan gradasi latar langit kartun, mendukung estetika non-photorealistic yang konsisten. Hasilnya adalah penciptaan tujuh set latar atmosferik yang berhasil memadukan kedalaman ruang 3D dengan karakter ilustratif 2D. Integrasi elemen lokal (Warung Madura, Angkringan) dan visual sampah berserakan meningkatkan ikatan emosional dan nilai simbolik narasi. Pengujian ahli (Juara 3 GEMASTIK 2024) memvalidasi konsistensi visual dan keberhasilan latar dalam menyampaikan pesan inti, meskipun terdapat masukan mengenai detail tekstur. Perancangan ini memberikan kontribusi strategis pada model produksi aset environment DKV yang efisien dan efektif dalam digital storytelling untuk advokasi sosial.
