Author Guidelines

Submissions must conform to the following arrangements:

  • The papers should be the author’s original research. Simultaneous submissions to other journals, as well as previous publication in any format and language, are not accepted.
  • The papers should be written as accurately as possible within 3000-5000 words and should be double-spaced in 12-point Times New Roman on A4 page, with standard margins (1” on the top and bottom and 1.25” on the left and right) on one side of the paper only.
  • The papers include a concise, self-contained, and explicit abstract within 150-200 words. 
  • Cite all bibliographical information in endnotes. Provide full biographical information(e.g., full name(s) of author(s), complete title of the source, place of publication, publishing company, date of publication, and the specific page being cited) when the source is mentioned for the first time. For subsequent citations of the same source, list the author’s last name, abbreviate the title, and give the relevant page number(s). Do not use footnotes or a bibliography.
  • Tables should be numbered with Arabic numerals. Where the table should appear in the text should be indicated by typing separate line “insert table here”. All tables should be on separate sheets of papers and not in the main body of the text.
  • The papers should include a cover sheet with the author’s full name, current university or professional affiliations, academic qualifications, mailing address, phone/fax number(s), and current e-mail address.
  • It is a condition of publication that the authors have the responsibility for securing permission from copyright holders for reproduction of visual materials to be published in the Southeast Asian Journal of Social and Political Issues (SAJSPI).
  • The author is required to enclose a cover letter stating that the material has not been published, and should not under consideration for journal publication elsewhere.
  • SEAJ-SPI will not return the manuscripts to authors.

The references are to be cited conforming to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA style) (5th ed.). A reference list should be presented at the end of the text arranged in alphabetical order. The followings are the examples of the format for books and journals;
