CORRELATION ANALYSIS BETWEEN THE LEVEL OF RELIGIOSITY AND MORAL INTEGRITY ON THE LEVEL OF STUDENT HONESTY

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the correlation between the level of religiosity and moral integrity with the level of honesty of students. A quantitative approach was used in this study by collecting data through questionnaires distributed to students in secondary schools.

The independent variables in this study include the level of religiosity and moral integrity, while the dependent variable is the level of student honesty. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The data collection method is a questionnaire distributed to students with the scale used is a Liket scale. The research location was at SMK N 1 Sawit. The population in this study were all students in grades X, XI, XII in the 2023/2024 school year with a sample of 125 taken randomly.

In this study, the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis and the results showed that the level of student religiosity and moral integrity simultaneously had a significant effect on the level of academic honesty with an F-Value of 760.27. Through this research, it is expected to identify educational strategies that can be applied to increase students' level of honesty based on the background of students' level of religiosity and moral integrity. The practical implications of this research can help schools and families in forming an educational environment that supports the formation of positive character in students.
