FENOMENA MAKELAR KOST DALAM SUDUT PANDANG SOSIO EKONOMI DITINJAU DARI TEORI PERTUKARAN PETER MICHAEL BLAU

Abstract

Boarding house’s broker is a big phenomenon in Solo pricely located Sebelas Maret University. The theory employed as the instrument of analysis was M. Blau’s exchange theory. This study taken place in areas around Sebelas Maret University. The type of study was qualitative. The result as research showed that has a mutually beneficial effect both between the homecoming seeker, the owner of the homestayer, and the realtor itself, so it can be concluded that there has been a balanced exchange between the three sides. This can be proved by the presence of boarding owners who want to cooperate with the broker boarding house, and also still there are students who use the services of realtor in boarding their residence during education in the city of Solo.

Abstrak

Makelar kost adalah fenomena besar di Solo lebih tepatnya di Universitas Sebleas Maret. Teori yang digunakan sebagai instrumen analisis adalah teori pertukaran sosial dari M.Blau. Penelitian ini dilaksanan di daerah sekitar Universitas Sebelas Maret. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat efek yang saling menguntungkan dari kedua belah pihak yakni pihak pencari kost dan pemilik dari kost juga makelar itu sendiri, sehinga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat keseimbangan antara pertukaran dari ketida pihak. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan keberadaan pemilik kost yang ingin bekerjasama dengan makelar kos, dan juga masih terdapat mahasiswa yang menggunakan pelayanan dari makelar kosan untuk mencari kost untuk dihuni selama mereka menempuh pendidikan di kota Solo.
