PENINGKATAN KREATIVITAS DESAIN DENGAN PENERAPAN METODE LATERAL THINKING PADA MATA PELAJARAN CETAK SARING SISWA KELAS XI KRIA TEKSTIL SMK N 9 SURAKARTA SEMESTER GASAL TAHUN AJARAN 2011/2012.

Abstract

The objective of research is to improve the design creativity of the XI Textile Work Graders of SMK N 9 Surakarta in the odd semester of 2011/2012 school year using lateral thinking method. This study was a classroom action research that applied lateral thinking learning method in sifting casting subject. The subject of research was the XI Textile Work Graders of SMK N 9 Surakarta in the odd semester of 2011/2012 and Mr. Joko Agus P as the teacher of sifting casting subject in SMK N 9 Surakarta. This research was conducted from August to October 2011, through two cycles and each cycle encompassed four activities: planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The data was collected using interview, documentation and observation for the improvement of creativity in psychomotor aspect in practical test form. Understanding the lateral thinking method in screen printing design learning is one attempt to enrich the thinking method understanding in screen printing design learning. To understand this, there should be a discussion about design, and then the discussion about design learning, and creativity as the focus of learning. Thereafter, there should be a discussion of lateral thinking in creativity development and its application in the process of screen printing design making learning.
