Abstract

The phenomenon of Mulan Jameela criticizing the issue of converting electric stoves, Anita Jacoba Gah criticizing the shadowy team of the Ministry of Education and Culture, and Riezky Aprilia criticizing the government over the issue of the PMK outbreak became a representation of female legislators with their style of political communication through angry actions during the RDP dialogue with the Government and went viral during society. Looking at some of these events, the researcher saw that the action and style of political communication for women legislators had certain characteristics. The formulation of this research was how the style of political communication and the form of political image construction of women legislators during opinion polls or RDP with the government. The purpose of this study is to analyze the style of political communication and the form of political image construction of women legislators during opinion polls with the government via Youtube. This research method uses descriptive qualitative through qualitative content analysis. The results of this study are that there are several forms of political communication styles such as Mulan Jameela more towards high context communication while Anita and Riezky Aprilia use low context communication styles. In this case, the construction of the political image in Mulan Jameela is heroic and adaptation traits, while Anita and Riezky are heroes, agitators, and protectors as well as aggressive traits. These women legislators have the character of an emotional communication style and a transformational leadership style.
