DELIGNIFIKASI AMPAS BATANG AREN: PEMBANDINGAN PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN GLUKOSA DENGAN PENAMBAHAN TETES

Abstract

In the production of bioethanol using lignocellulose biomass, pretreatment step is carried out to separate the cellulose from lignin. A research concerning delignification using white rot fungus P. Chrysosporium have been done. The objective of the research is to compare the influence of adding glucose and adding molasses to the degradation of lignin in.bagasse of Arenge pinata. An amount of baggase is soaking in a medium and add to the baggase glucose or mollases in dry weight percent. The pH condition is set at 4. This baggase is then placed in flask and then sterilized. Innoculation is by adding an amount of fungi suspension. A series of flasks are put into incubator at 40 oC. Incubation is carried out for 30 days. A control without fungi is prepared at the same condition. Analysis of lignin and cellulose content are performed for every five days. The glucose and molasses content is set to be 0,5%, 1%, and 2%. The results show that at the same glucose and mollases content, more lignin degraded for the adding of molasses. The loss of cellulose is higher for adding molasses at 0,5 and 1% but not for molasses at 2%.
