Abstract

Coal is a kind of fuel that has a great number of quantity in Indonesia. Remembering that the natural oil and natural gas are the unrenewable natural resources, using of  coal as a fuel in order to get more cheaper and more efficient fuel than natural oil and natural gas, has been started in many way. One of the way that is improved at this moment is using of coal as a pulverized coal. The objective of the research was to find the best condition in burning the pulverized coal. The pulverized coal was fed in a furnace by a burner and its mixed with the primary and secondary air from two blowers, then the pulverized coal was burnt in furnace and the out gas was analyzed by the gas analyzer. From the result of this research, the best condition can be reached on burning the pulverized coal that the composition is 80 % -200 mesh and 20 % (-100 +200) mesh, using of 40 % primary air. It can be conclude from the graph.
