PENGOLAHAN LIMBAH BATIK CETAK DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE FILTRASI-ELEKTROLISIS UNTUK MENENTUKAN EFISIENSI PENURUNAN PARAMETER COD, BOD, DAN LOGAM BERAT (Cr) SETELAH PERLAKUAN FISIKA-KIMIA

Abstract

Filtration and electrolysis methods were used to reduce waste water parameters, especially COD, BOD and heavy metals Cr. The filtration media used was zeolite, sand, fibers, pebbles and gravel. The electrolysis method used the cathode and anode plates. From the experiments can be seen that the method of filtration and electrolysis can reduce COD, BOD and heavy metals in waste water batik. The optimum reduction efficiency occurs at the thickness of 10 cm, which % reduction is 51.04% for COD, 55.01% for BOD, 73.77% for heavy metals Cr. In the electrolysis tub, the optimum efficiency of residence time is 60 minutes, which % reduction is 64.18% for COD, 61.16% for BOD, 54.69% for heavy metals Cr.
