Terms of Manuscript Submission

Authors must prepare manuscripts by following the official ECEDJ template. Manuscripts must comply with the journal's requirements concerning language, typography, page layout, article length, structure, citation, and reference style. Submissions must also follow academic writing conventions and scientific publication ethics.

Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English. Indonesian manuscripts must follow standard Indonesian spelling and scientific language conventions. English manuscripts must use accurate grammar and should be carefully proofread before submission.

1. Title

The title must be concise, specific, and clearly represent the main focus of the study. It must be written in uppercase letters, bold, Times New Roman 14 pt, and contain no more than 12 words.

2. Authors’ Identity

Authors’ names must be written in full without academic or professional titles. Each manuscript must include the authors’ institutional affiliation and an active email address. The corresponding author must be marked with an asterisk and identified by a correspondence email.

3. Abstract and Keywords

The manuscript must include an abstract in Indonesian and English. Each abstract must be written in one paragraph, use single-line spacing, and contain no more than 200 words. It should briefly present the research objective, method, principal findings, and contribution to the development of education.

A maximum of five keywords or phrases must be provided below each abstract. The keywords must represent the main substance of the study and be relevant to the article title. The labels Kata Kunci and Keywords must be written in bold and italic.

4. Introduction

The Introduction should comprise approximately 20% of the manuscript. It must explain the research background, the empirical or theoretical problem, relevant literature, the research gap, the significance or novelty of the study, and the research objective. Arguments must be supported by relevant scientific references.

5. Research Method

The Research Method should comprise approximately 10% of the manuscript. This section must clearly explain the research design and implementation procedures. Where relevant, it should describe the research setting, participants or subjects, sampling technique, instruments, materials or media, data collection procedures, data validation, and data analysis techniques.

Common statistical formulas do not need to be reproduced. Specific criteria, formulas, or analytical procedures developed or modified by the authors must be explained. Authors are advised to cite appropriate methodological references.

6. Results and Discussion

Results and Discussion must be presented as one integrated section and should comprise approximately 65% of the manuscript. Research findings should be clearly presented before they are interpreted. Detailed statistical calculations do not need to be reported; only relevant analytical and hypothesis-testing results should be included.

The discussion must:

• answer the research questions or hypotheses;
• interpret the meaning of the findings;
• connect the findings with relevant theories;
• compare the findings with previous research; and
• explain the theoretical or practical implications.

The discussion must be strengthened by references to relevant studies published in reputable scientific journals. At least eight references must be used in the discussion.

7. Conclusion

The Conclusion should comprise approximately 5% of the manuscript. It must provide a concise answer to the research objective or hypothesis and summarize the main scientific findings. Where relevant, authors may state the contribution, implication, or direction for further research. The conclusion should not merely repeat the Results and Discussion section.

8. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures must be relevant, readable, numbered consecutively, and cited in the manuscript. Excessively large or numerous tables and figures should be avoided.

Table titles must be placed above the table and aligned to the left. Main words in the title begin with capital letters, except conjunctions or connecting words. Figure, graph, diagram, and illustration captions must be placed below the figure and aligned to the left. Titles or captions extending beyond one line must use single-line spacing.

9. Citations

In-text citations must follow the American Psychological Association style, Seventh Edition (APA 7). Citations may be written parenthetically or narratively.

• One author: (Essa, 2014) or Essa (2014).
• Two authors: (Copple & Bredekamp, 2006).
• Three or more authors: (Bass et al., 2009).
• Direct quotation: (Copple & Bredekamp, 2006, p. 35).

Direct quotations must include page numbers. Complete website addresses should not be written in the body of the manuscript; the DOI or URL is provided in the reference list when required.

10. References

The reference list must contain at least 15 sources and include only works cited in the manuscript. References must follow APA 7, use single-line spacing, and have one line of spacing between entries.

Journal articles must include a DOI when available. When no DOI is available, the article URL may be provided. Authors are required to use reference-management software, such as Mendeley or another comparable application. Relevant and recent primary sources from scientific journals should be prioritized.

Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is fully synchronized with the current ECEDJ template before submission.
