PEMBERIAN EKSTRAK BAYAM (Amaranthus tricolor) MELALUI METODE INJEKSI SEBAGAI STIMULASI MOLTING DAN PERTUMBUHAN LOBSTER AIR TAWAR (Cherax quadricarinatus)

Abstract

Red claw crayfish Cherax quadricarinatus have slow growth. To minimize production cost, do acceleration the growth that is by increase the molting frequency. More often molting frequency then growth will be faster. Spinach extract contains compounds of phytoecdysteroids as molting stimulation Cherax quadricarinatus.

Grant of spinach extract performed once at the beginning of the maintenance and then maintained during 56 days. Method used in this study is an experiment by using completely randomized design (CRD). The treatment used by differentiation of spinach extract injection dose, the injection dose are 0 mg/g wight as a control, 10 mg/g weight, 15 mg/g weight and 20 mg/g weight of body crayfish. Each treatment performed at 5 times for the sample.

The results of the experiment concluded that a dose of spinach extract concentration that given by injection method at the most optimal dose for freshwater crayfish Cherax quadricarinatus molting frequency and growth rate is 20 mg / g weight of body crayfish.
