Author Guidelines

Submissions:
We strongly encourage that manuscripts be submitted to jurnal.uns.ac.id/belli. Authors are required to create an account and submit the manuscripts online. For submission inquiries, please address to jurnal.uns.ac.id/belli
Author should fulfil the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on “Register” button to proceed the registration. Therefore, Author is brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. In the Start a New Submission section, click on “’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process”.
The following are five steps in online submission process: 

  1. Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate section of journal, i.e. Original Research Articles or Review Article. Thus, author must check-mark on the submission checklists.
  2. Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file to be submitted, then click Upload button. 
  3. Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered including marked corresponding author. After that, manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords.
  4. Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary file should be uploaded including Covering/Submission Letter, and Signed Copyright Transfer Agreement Form. Therefore, click on Browse button, choose the files, and then click on Upload button.
  5. Step 5 – Confirming the Submission:  Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to Yustisia Jurnal Hukum, click Finish Submission button after the documents is true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgement by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site.
After this submission, Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors are able to track their submission status at anytime by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes status of manuscript review and editorial process.
 

Manuscript preparation:

  1. Manuscripts should be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia, not have been published already, nor under consideration elsewhere.
  2. Each manuscript should be accompanied by the following information:
    1. the title of the manuscript.
    2. the author’s name, affiliation and institutional address, together with an e-mail address.
  3. Manuscripts should be between 5.000 and 10.000 words, including text and footnotes.
    1. Abstract
      1. Abstract should be written in English. 
      2. Font: Times New Roman, font size: 10, font style: italic, alignment: justified.
      3. Single line spacing on one paragraph.
      4. Left indent should be 2,54 cm.
      5. 150-250 words.
    2. Keywords
      1. Font: Times New Roman, font size: 10, font style: italic, alignment: justified.
      2. The word “Keywords” in bold and italic (e.g. Keywords:).
      3. 5-10 words in lowercase.
    3. Body
      1. Font type: Times New Roman, font size: 12, line spacing: 1.
      2. Write full name of the author without any qualifications. Qualifications of the author should be explained in the footnote
        e.g: Melda Kamil Ariadno 1
        (1 Lecturer of international Law, Faculty of Law, Sebelas Maret University. Obtained Bachelor of Law (S.H.) from Sebelas Maret University (1992), Master of Law (LL.M.) from University of Washington (1995), and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) from University of Washington (2011)).
      3. Author name should be written in small caps, starting with capital letters, and in bold. (e.g., Rachma Indriyani).
      4. headings and sub-headings should be numbered by:
        1. ) First level: Roman numerals in uppercase (I, II, III, ...);
        2. ) Second level: alphabets in uppercase (A, B, C, ...);
        3. ) Third level: Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, ...);
        4. ) Fourth level: alphabet in lowercase (a, b, c, ...);
        5. ) Fifth level: Roman numerals in lowercase (i, ii, iii, ...);
      5. First line of each paragraph should be indented, with single space between paragraphs.
      6. The first heading should be titled “Introduction” and the last heading should be titled “Clossing consisting of Conclusion and Suggestion”.
      7. Direct quotations:
        1. ) For direct quotation less than 20 words, it should be placed within the paragraph with quotation marks (“........”).
        2. ) For direct quotation contain more than 20 words, it should be in a separate paragraph with left indentation of 1,27 cm, justified, in italic and use single line spacing.
      8. Tables should be presented on same sheets of the manuscript and should have short descriptive titles. Figures should be clearly numbered, source and should have explanatory captions. The author must indicate where Tables and Figures should be placed in the text.
      9. Bodynote  and Bibliography
        Bibliography:
        i.   The bibliography should be written in the end of the manuscripts, titled “Bibliography”, written in Times New Roman 12, single spacing and indent on the second line of each bibliograph
        ii.   If the sources are varied, it should be put into groups:
        1. ) Legal documents
        2. ) Books
        3. ) Articles
        4. ) Websites

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
