PENGEMBANGAN KAWASAN WISATA MENGHADAPI PANDEMI: KESIAPAN PADUKUHAN SOROTANON, KABUPATEN KULON PROGO, DIY
Abstract
Interaksi antara warga Padukuhan Sorotanon dan tim pengabdian Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta berlangsung sejak pertengahan 2018 hingga 2019. Tujuannya adalah menumbuhkan motivasi kemandirian dan wawasan pengembangan untuk menghadapi perubahan. Kegiatan diawali dengan identifikasi awal melalui diskusi dengan aparat padukuhan dan tokoh dan dilanjutkan diskusi dengan semua warga, survei, dan penyusunan pra-master plan pengembangan kawasan. Kegiatan diselesaikan sesaat sebelum pandemi sehingga komunikasi bisa melalui ‘kemewahan’ pertemuan tatap muka langsung yang sangat membantu efektivitas komunikasi dan kualitas luaran. Luaran yang bisa dilihat wujud fisiknya, antara lain terbentuknya Panitia Pengembangan Kawasan Wisata, komunikasi warga melalui pertemuan-pertemuan, pembibitan, penghijauan lahan kritis, perbaikan jalan, uji coba kegiatan wisata, dan pra-master plan. Luaran tersebut juga bermanfaat langsung saat pandemi seperti: penurunan risiko tanah longsor, peningkatan area tangkapan air, peningkatan keindahan sehingga lebih nyaman ditinggali, peningkatan ketersediaan hijauan pakan ternak, peningkatan kenyamanan akses jalan, serta ketersediaan alternatif hiburan murah. Luaran lebih penting adalah munculnya motivasi kemandirian dan terbukanya wawasan mencari solusi permasalahan dalam kebersamaan yang tercermin dalam inisiatif warga menghasilkan luaran jenis yang pertama di atas.
