ANALISIS USAHATANI MELON (Cucumis melo L.) DI KECAMATAN GIRIWOYO KABUPATEN WONOGIRI
Abstract
Melon is a horticultural crop commodity that has the potential to be cultivated. The amount of production obtained is influenced by the allocation of the usage of farming production factors. This study aims to analyze the costs, revenue, income, profits, and feasibility of melon farming in Giriwoyo District and to analyze production factors that affect the production of melon farming in Giriwoyo District. The basic method used in this research is descriptive method. The study location is determined by purposive method. The sample of farmers was selected by accidental sampling. The results showed that the average cost of melon farming in one planting seasons is IDR 60,707,004.16/Ha/season, the average revenue is IDR 86,285,947.71/Ha/season, the average farm income is IDR 37,952,244.47/Ha/season, the average profit is IDR 25,241,889.07/Ha/season. Farming feasibility analysis with an R/C ratio of 1.44 indicateds that the melon farming is considered to be financially feasible. The production factors of land area, seeds, NPK Phonska fertilizer, NPK Mutiara fertilizer, SP-36 fertilizer, pesticides and labor individually have a significant effect on melon production. Meanwhile, the production factors of mature and ZA fertilizer individually did not significant effect on melon production.
