ANALISIS EFISIENSI TATANIAGA KOMODITAS KEDELAI (STUDI KASUS DI KECAMATAN WERU, KABUPATEN SUKOHARJO)

Abstract

Soybean is one of the national priority commodities for food crops which is in third place after rice and corn. Soybeans are needed in the food and feed processing industry because they have a high protein content value. The current local soybean production is still very insufficient to meet the domestic demand for soybeans. There are still many farmers in Indonesia who are reluctant to cultivate soybeans because they are considered less profitable. This study aims to determine the efficiency of the trading channel and the margins of the soybean trade system in Weru District, Sukoharjo Regency. The basic method of this research is to use descriptive analytical method. The research location is in Weru District, Sukoharjo Regency. Determination of the sample using proportional random sampling method with 40 respondent farmers and snowball sampling with 11 trading institutions. Methods of data collection by observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of this study, it shows that there are four patterns of soybean trading system channels. The largest trading system margin was generated by the IV trading system with a margin of 2.575 IDR. All of the channels of trade, both Channel I, Channel II, Channel III, and Channel IV can all be said to be efficient. Channel I is the trading channel with the highest level of efficiency with the lowest percentage value of the trading system margin of 15.07% and the highest farmer's share of 84.93%.
