STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN SUBSEKTOR PETERNAKAN KOMODITAS SAPI POTONG DALAM RANGKA MEMPERKUAT SEKTOR PERTANIAN DI KABUPATEN SEMARANG

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The development of the beef cattle livestock sub-sector is expected to accelerate economic growth by increasing the income and welfare of the community, so that it can make a real contribution to regional development. The basic method used in this research is descriptive method. Data collection techniques in this study using intensive interview methods with stakeholders. At this stage the matrix used is the IFE (Internal Factor Evaluation) matrix and the EFE (External Factor Evaluation) matrix. The results of the data from the IFE and EFE matrices are included in the SWOT matrix with a quantitative approach. The conclusion of this study is to determine the internal and external factors that influence the development of the beef cattle.. SWOT analysis shows the total score obtained from internal factor analysis of 2,1277 and external factors of 0,8317. The appropriate strategy in the development of beef cattle farming is in the quadrant I. The strategy that must be applied in this condition is to support an aggressive growth policy to increase and accelerate livestock production by utilizing Artificial Insemination technology and development of marketing of beef cattle farms by increasing promotional activities.
