Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to identify the growth rate of conversion of agricultural land in Tegal City in the last twenty-five years (1993-2017) and analyze the factors that affect the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use in Tegal City during the last twenty-five years (1993-2017). The basic method used in the research is descriptive and analytical methods. Tegal City was chosen intentionally (purposive) as a research location. Methods of data analysis is the growth rate of agricultural land conversion and multiple linear regression. Factors analyzed were population, length of roads, buildings and yards, and number of schools. The average rate of conversion of agricultural land in Tegal City is
-2.07% occurs every year. Factors that significantly affect the conversion of agricultural land in Tegal City are the population, length of roads, and the number of schools. While buildings and yards do not significantly affect the conversion of agricultural land in the city of Tegal.
