ANALISIS STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN KOMODITAS SUBSEKTORTANAMAN HORTIKULTURATAHUNAN DI KABUPATEN SLEMAN

Abstract

Abstract :This study aims to determine the classification of annual horticultural crops in Sleman District based on LQ and ΔLQ analysis and to know alternative development strategies. The basic method of this research is analytical descriptive. The data used in this research are primary and secondary data. The data analysis used is Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, Location Quotient value (ΔLQ) change analysis, IFE-EFE matrix, and internal-external matrix. The results showed: annual horticultural commodities in Sleman Regency Stars category consist of pineapple, papaya, rambutan mangosteen, and salak, Emerging category consists of citrus, mango, durian and watermelon. The Mature category consists of avocado. Strategies that can be applied include: (1) Sorting or grading before selling papaya (2) Making processed papaya products before it is sold. (3) Increase mangosteen production by referring to 3K development methods (clonization, colonization and consolidation). (4) Efforts to shorten the juvenile phase can be done by plant breeding, environmental control, grafting techniques, root cutting, and excessive fertilization. (5) Making processed products of mangosteen fruit especially health products.
