Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to determine the amount of cost, revenue and income of farm management of cayenne pepper, marketing channel, cost, profit, marketing margin, and also to review the most effective marketing channel in Boyolali. It used analysis descriptive for the basic method. The location of this research was in Boyolali because it is the biggest central of cayenne pepper in Central Java. The data analysis used farm management analysis, cost, profit, marketing margin and marketing efficiency. The result showed the amount of farm management cost IDR 9,024,957, revenue IDR 46,113,467, and income IDR 37,108,509 per hectare. There were six marketing channels, the institutions involved merchant wholesalers, large, out of town, and central distributor. The marketing cost channel I IDR 301/kg, income IDR 440/kg, and marketing margin IDR 750/kg. The marketing cost channel II IDR 622/kg, profit IDR 1,628/kg, and marketing margin IDR 2,250/kg. The marketing cost channel IIIĀ  IDR 206/kg, profit IDR 419/kg, marketing margin IDR 625/kg. The marketing cost channel IV IDR 668/kg, profit IDR 1,832/kg, and marketing margin IDR 2,500/kg. The marketing cost channel V IDR 329/kg, profit IDR 671/kg, and total marketing margin IDR 1,000/kg. The marketing cost channel VI IDR 673/kg, profit IDR 1,627/kg, and marketing margin IDR 2,300/kg. The marketing cost channel III was the most efficient marketing cost because it had the biggest farmer share value, that was 94,9% and the cost difference with the minimum price was 2,08%.
