Guidelines for author of Smart Medical Journal:

Guidelines for author of Smart Medical Journal:
- Smart Medical Journal (SmedJour) publishes original research articles or article review in the basic medical sciences, clinic medical sciences, medical education and public health.
- The published articles are selected by editorial board based on the review result. The articles should not be published elsewhere before. In order to assure the quality of publication, the editor of Smart Medical Journal might do format editing without disturbing the substance of the article.
- Smart Medical Journal, receives articles in English.
- Abstract should be written in Times New Roman 10 pt and a single space. The abstract should not more than 250 words. Please avoid to use acronyms, abbreviation, or symbols in the abstract. Abstract should describe qualitative and quantitative information and includes 3-5 keywords related to substance of the abstract.
- Article should be written in MS word, times new roman 11 pt of font type, and 1.15 space. The paper size is A4, with margin of top, bottom, left,and right are 3 cm, The first line of paragraph should be in line to 1.25 cm.
- The manuscript must be saved in the MS word with Word 97-2003 and the article should be submitted online through https://jurnal.uns.ac.id/SMedJour . Author need to do registration to get a username and password for login.
- Name of author(s) is written without degree/salutation. Meanwhile, name and address of affiliation must be written completely include the email of corresponding author.
- The manuscript consists of abstract, introduction, method, result, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgement (if any) and references.
- Number of tables, figures, mathematical equations and chemical reactions are in accordance with their citation in text.
- Figures are presented in high pixelation (min. 300 dpi). If it is necessary, author(s) might submit a separated file of figures (in jpeg, giff, tiff or png formate) for editing process.
- The citation and references should follow Vancouver style. References is advisibly not to exceed 30 in number but not less than 10, and should in general be limited to the last decade. References must be numbered in the order in which they are mentioned in the text. Example of reference writing are:
In-text citations: All citations in the text should refer to:
- Single author: the author’s name (without initials, unless there is ambiguity) and the year of publication;
- Two authors: both authors‟ names and the year of publication;
- Three or more authors: first author’s name followed by ‘et al.’ and the year of publication.
Examples: “as demonstrated (Allan and Jones, 1999). Halpern et al. (2002) have recently shown ....”
Reference list: The references should follow Vancouver style. The examples of references writing are:

Up to six authors, list all the authors.

More than six authors, list the first six authors, followed by et al.

Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
