PENGGUNAAN MEDIA BENDA KONKRET UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA ANAK TUNAGRAHITA PADA POKOK BAHASAN PERKALIAN
Abstract
The purpose is this research was to improve Mathematics learning achievement in
subject multiplication by using media concrete for students class VI at the I semester in SLB
C Setya Darma Surakarta in academic year of 2012/2013.
The research was a Classroom Action Research was a research that done by teacher
with self reflection to repair learning in order to increase learning achievement. This
research was conducted in two cycles with each cycles consisting of planning, action,
observation, and reflection. The subject of this research were class VI students semester I in
SLB C Setya Darma Surakarta in academic year of 2012/2013 which amonted to 4 students
consisting of 3 male students and 1 female student. The source data came from the teachers
and tyhe students. The techniques of collecting data are used observation technique, test,
interview, and documentation. The validity of the data was tested by using triangulation of
data sources and method of triangilation. The analysis technique of the data used is
descriptive comparative that comparing initial values each cycles until a result can reach
pretendermined limit achievement.
The result showed that by the using media concrete object can improve learning
achievement in Mathematics multiplication on the subject of students for pre-cycles into cycle
I and cycle I into cycle 2. The learning process on pre-cycles are teacher centered, so that the
students Mathematics learning achievement is low. The increase occured in cycles I though
have not been optimal. In the act of II cycles was happened improvement of the students that
increase high enough.
