Kontribusi Keberfungsian Keluarga pada Kesepian Individu Menikah
Abstract
Marriage is an intimate relationship between a man and a woman to take on new responsibilities and roles as husband and wife. In married life, the husband and wife relationship is often assumed to be a predictor that can reduce levels of loneliness. However, it has been found in several phenomena that low family functioning in husband and wife relationships can cause married individuals to experience loneliness. The research aimed to examine the influence of family functioning on loneliness in nuptial individuals. This research is correlational quantitative research with 168 subjects who are married individuals. The data collection method uses measuring instrument scales, namely The Brief Assessment Family Functioning Scale and the R-UCLA Loneliness Scale, which have been adapted in previous research. The study's results stated that the research hypothesis was accepted that there was a negative influence between family functioning and loneliness in married individuals (R2= 0.369, b= -0.949, p= .000; p <.001). This shows that family functioning predicts reduced levels of loneliness in nuptial individuals. The suggestion from this research is that married couples focus on forming a family functioning system to build effective interactions as a married couple, which will ultimately be able to develop positive relationships when relating to children, reducing the loneliness they experience
