Tegal is a strategic town that has a different batik to another batik of coastal areas that are generally bright. Batik Tegal is the kind of batik that firmly has its features, detail, and large flora-fauna ornaments and shaped by dominant dark color following inland typical. Batik Tegal pattern was influenced by the place of origin, the coastal areas and received the effects of the inland typical when Tegal was controlled by Amangkurat I of Surakarta. The style of batik Tegal pattern is divided into 3 categories pesisiran (coastal), inland and contemporary style. Batik Tegal beauties can be seen in the integrated harmonious colors between various planes, lines, and filled. The aesthetic study of batik Tegal is very variegated that can be seen in terms of motives, colors, visually shape and philosophical values contained. This research investigated the aesthetic study of batik Tegal pattern and the features of batik Tegal among others.
