ANALISIS KARAKTER ORANG JAWA BANYUMAS MELALUI LEKSIKON LAGU JAWA BANYUMASAN (CHARACTER ANALYSIS OF BANYUMAS JAVANESE USING LEXICON OF BANYUMAS-JAVA SONG)

Abstract

Abstract: This article discusses the character of the Banyumas Javanese seen from the lexicon in the lyrics of the Banyumas-Java songs. The character of a person or society can be understood from the cultural context behind it. One of the cultural contexts can be reflected in the use of the language. Banyumas people are known as cablaka or blakasuta characters. The word cablaka comes from the word bocah blaka or shortened to cah blaka or read cablaka, while blakasuta also has the same meaning as cablaka because the word suta means child (boy and girl). Therefore, cablaka or blakasuta means ' frankly or honesty' which is likened to children who are still honest, naive, and what they are. In the lyrics of Banyumas-Java songs which were popularized by Sopsan, there are many lexicons that reflect the cablaka character of the Banyumas people. This article aims to see the character of the Banyumas people based on the interpretation of the meanings of the lexicon in the lyrics of Banyumas-Java songs popularized by Sopsan. The approach taken is a qualitative approach with a case study. Case studies are used because the researcher does not have control over the events. In this case, the phenomenon can only be observed, it cannot be controlled like an experiment. The data was obtained from Youtube which contained Banyumas-Java songs sung by Sopsan. The collected data will be processed using data reduction methods, data exposure, data categories, and data conclusions.
