Abstract: This article is looking at how teenage women is represented in two teenlits, novel targeted for teenage readers, Balada si Roy: Joe, written by Gol A Gong (1980) and Ruang Hampa Prada written by Vevina Aisyahra, et.al (2018). The two novels which have a large distance of time elapse are chosen purposively to see whether the representation of teenage women has undergone some chances within this three decades. This study also takes a look further on whether the teenage women are represented within the social construction of standardized beauty and behaviour, which are centered on gender, female body, and sexuality.

Dua novel dengan rentang waktu yang cukup jauh itu sengaja diambil untuk melihat apakah representasi perempuan mengalami perbedaan dalam rentang  waktu tiga dekade.
